Are you bored in Butte Montana? Well you shouldn’t be! Butte has tons of summer entertainment to offer even the pickiest of adventurers. Take the Silver Bow Evening Market, for example! It’ll have all the art, music, and food you can handle.
MSU Extension, Butte-Silver Bow is pleased to announce the return of the Silver Bow Evening Market. The market will kick-off on Thursday June 23, and run each Thursday through September 29, 2016. The market will host vendors from across southwest Montana selling art, crafts, food and much more. Each week, in addition to vendors, the market will host performances by local musicians and on select weeks is collaborating with The Original Movie Series and Shakespeare in the Park to provide free family entertainment. This year’s market is at The Original Mine Yard from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., vendor set-up will begin at 4:00 p.m. A portion of the proceeds raised from vendor registrations will be donated to the Butte Rescue Mission to aid in facility renovations. The following is a complete list of scheduled entertainment:
July 7 – No Market due to the Montana Folk Festival;
July 14 – Brian McGregor;
July 21 No Market – due to Evel Knievel Days;
July 28 – Super B;
August 4 – ‘A Traditional Hootenanny’ and a free screening of “Fantastic Mr. Fox” at sundown;
August 11 – No Market due to An Ri Ra Montana Irish Festival;
August 18 – Symphony under the Silver Screen with the Butte Symphony, beginning at sundown;
August 25 – Butte Boys & Girls’ Club Brew Fest Fundraiser;
September 1 – Shakespeare in the Park;
September 8 – Screening of Disney’s “In and Out” beginning at sundown
September 15 – Entertainment to be announced;
September 22 – Entertainment to be announced; and
September 29 – Entertainment to be announced.
